Review
For the terminally online this is canon!
The book covers the life and mind of an internet influencer. It explores the likes, clicks, memes, adrenalin, addiction, and absurdity we all find absorbed in while online - or as the author refers to as - in the portal. It is a delightful and remarkably hilarious novel about our modern always-online culture.
Patricia approaches these topics with an unbelievably unique writing style. Her wit envelops the audience within a stream of consciousness approaching genius. She effortlessly drifts between topics, dipping, and oscillating in and out of thought - linking grander connections - yet questioning it all in the same poetic breath.
"Patricia Lockwood thrilled my mind and exceeded my expectations."

Additional Comments
Patricia managed to cover numerous topics with the lightheartedness that one does when living in "the worst timeline".
However, as much as I wanted a full book of nothing more than an uproarious reflection on the ridiculousness of our society, this was more than just a tale of cyber-life, but one of real life as well. This fresh (mostly) fictional tale is also sprinkled with touching real-life personal events.
This book got me deep in my feels.
Note: I listened to "No One is Talking About This" on audiobook and the narrator was a joy to listen to.
